Dadogó szimfónia
Zoltán Grecsó’s performance, Stuttering Symphony, is a sensorial interpretation of Péter Esterházy’s Oratorium Balbulum, unfolding the tangled threads of past and future before us. The choreography is built on a paradox: the stuttering prophecy does not precede humanity in time, since by the moment the revelation is spoken, it has already come to pass.
This is not my first collaboration with Zoli—we have worked together several times before, and I always find the process inspiring. His fresh energy and unique way of seeing continually lead us in unexpected directions. For me, dance is always something unique. Because of the nature of the genre, I pay special attention to the choice of materials, and to the cut as well—costumes need to function almost like a second skin. It’s essential that the clothing never restricts movement in any way.
